Asia Business Responsibility Conclave (ABRC) 2012 is a conference and exhibition designed for business leaders and other stakeholders of business to congregate around sustainable business practices in light of the recently concluded Rio +20 UN summit.  The Rio +20 summit called upon businesses to shoulder the responsibility of sustainable development and be accountable for the same, requiring the development and deployment of region-specific sustainable business models.

Organized by India Tech Foundation and General Carbon, the event will feature speakers and delegates from Ministry of Corporate Affairs, SEBI, Indian institute of Corporate Affairs, Accountability, GRI, CDP, SustainAbility, IMC, FIMI, ASSOCHAM, Tata Sons, S&P, Tata Power, AIA Engineering, Ambuja Cement, Foundations of JSW, Wockhardt, IKF, KfW, PwC, Deloitte and Touche.

The major objectives of ABRC 2012 are:
•    Deliberating on the Rio+20 outcome “The Future We Want” and its relevance to business in Asia
•    Bringing together all stakeholders to deliberate on different complementing and conflicting expectations on business responsibility and arriving at guide for action
•    Showcasing achievements in CSR by different business groups
•    Deliberating on resources, tools and methods to sharpen, strengthen and widen corporate sustainability practice.
